Brewing news Ukraine: Sarmat Brewing group increased its beer sales by 27% in Jan-Oct 2005

Sarmat brewing group based in Kiev increased its beer sales in January-October by 26.7% compared to the same period last year up to 259.59 million litres. During the ten months of the year the brewery produced about 262.23 million litres of beer that is 27.9% increase compared to the same period last year.

In October 2005 Sarmat increased its beer output by 18.9% compared to October 2004 up to 19.57 million litres, beer sales rose by 22% up to 20.35 million litres.

Sarmat group is the fourth largest brewery in Ukraine. In 2004 the company controlled 13% of the beer market. Sarmat owns five breweries: OAO Lugansk brewery, OAO Crimea brewery, ZAO Dnipro brewery, ZAO Poltavpivo and a brewery in Donetsk. 99% of the shares of ZAO Sarmat is owned by “SKM” company.
